easter in b&w | life. right now. | a 365 project | sixteen

April 25, 2011

we had a little egg hunt after church for easter.

friends family & food.

oh and egg hunt.

can’t forget the egg hunt.

eggs stuffed with goodies.

and some with money.

watching the kids run around all over hunting for the golden egg with the $5 bill in it was a hoot.

just watching them roam around being kids is just wonderful itself.

it’s hard to be a part of it when you want to pictures of it.

i tried to do both.

the girls were especially cute!

color is pretty.

but i see these in black & white.

i had to share with you.

Where do you go to church? Just a curiosity :) My old youth pastor’s, wife’s, DAD, pastors at Bethel… or used to? not sure if he does anymore :) Haven’t been around the area in a while 😀

toad-ally cool | life. right now. | a 365 project | fifteen

April 15, 2011

living out in the stix has some perks.

critters and lots of them.

the kids are always catching lizards, snakes (we edumacated them on the right ones)…

bugs of all sorts…

it’s a zoo here.

here’s ‘turd’…we only kept him long enough to observe the silly way he walks.

the adorable little throat calls that sound just like a guinea pig.

and get peed on.

‘turd’ because my toddler couldn’t quite say toad all the way so ‘turd’ is what comes out.

:)

I get the idea of toads/frogs being cute but I’ve never actually seen a cute one! Love the jumping shots and the PP!

re-finding nemo | life. right now. | a 365 project | fourteen

April 12, 2011

we re-found nemo going through some of the boys old toys.

a little girlish squeal of delight was heard

and my oldest son couldn’t resist…

…nemo became hers.

the days have passed and the newness has not yet worn off.

he is so big and she struggles to carry him.

but she refuses help.

he is hers.

if she rides her big red car- she doesn’t care that she can barely see past the steering wheel.

nemo is there.

when she asks to go potty-

nemo is there.

when we go on walks-

nemo is there.

when it’s yogurt snack time-

nemo is there.

at naps and bedtime as she drifts off to sleep…

nemo is there.

how sweet is childhood?

didn’t we all have a nemo?

jerry the alligator lizard | life. right now. | a 365 project | thirteen

April 11, 2011

so we live in the country. this is not for the faint of heart.

it means – dirty kids. bugs. snakes. lizards. missing spoons. kidnapped bowls and plates.

jeans ripped and stained. socks that can’t get white. sweeping 50 pointless times an afternoon.

5 boxes of bandages per day. countless tears.

….yet never-ending adventures.

lizards. we gots dem. lotsa dem.

we found jerry.

he’s mean. he’s active. he loves crickets and sunbathing.

he’s kinda scary.

but why do we all love jerry?

because he’s so stinking fascinating!

jerry is supah cool!

fabulously fun G family | the good life | family | redding, ca family photographer

April 8, 2011

the G family wanted to hit downtown a little bit.

the awesome red of the Lorenz hotel as our backdrop in some, the downtown mall for another and we even stood next to the tracks as the train whistled past us so loud we had to cover our ears and our hair flying everywhere.

i’ve never shot downtown – so this was new and fun for me!

they were oh so silly and fun fun fun!

thanks for letting me tag along G family!
